Meet the Artist

Biography

Harold was born in the vibrant city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where his artistic talent emerged at an early age. Drawing quickly became his passion, providing him with a source of joy, relaxation, and creative expression. With a family lineage steeped in artistic talent, Harold was naturally inclined to pursue his craft, honing his skills through self-directed practice and a deep connection to his heritage. His talent soon gained recognition in Haiti, where his illustrations brought life to numerous textbooks, enriching educational materials with vivid imagery. Harold's work also reached international audiences when it was reproduced on lithographs, luggage tags, keychains, and magnets. Distributed across North America by Artistic Impressions, Inc., these items offered a tangible connection to Haiti's vibrant culture and showcased Harold’s unique artistic vision.
Rooted in the folklore and warm, dynamic colors of the Caribbean, Harold's art embodies the spirit and vibrancy of his native Haiti. Over the past three decades, his perspective has been broadened by his life in America, where he has lived with his wife and two children. This blend of cultural influences—a deep connection to his Haitian roots and his experiences in the United States—imbues his work with a rich, layered complexity that resonates with diverse audiences. Harold’s artwork has transcended borders, earning admiration in exhibitions held in Europe, and the Americas. His pieces have found homes with collectors worldwide, celebrating not only the beauty of his heritage but also universal themes of resilience, identity, and cultural connection.
